Vtg 5 Piece Brass Fireplace Tool Set with Footed Stand, Broom, Poker, Tongs Shovel

This heavy duty set is in good condition with no major damages. It does show signs of wear like; oxidation, scratching, distress, discoloration, blackened tips etc. Some of the broom bristles have been singed.

The handles and tool holder do not attract a magnet. Everything below the handles and holder does attract a magnet which would indicate an iron alloy that is brass plated. I use the term brass to describe color and have not done any further testing or analysis of any metal to confirm its composition. There is a nice dark patina on the brass accents. The handles are threaded onto the rods and some of the tool heads are also thread on.

The holder and the base are also connected by a threaded rod. I used a maxim magazine to help scale the size. The holder is approx 30.75 inches tall and each approx tool length are as follows. Big Poker 30", Small Poker 15", Shovel 27 & 3/8", Tongs 26.25" and Broom 27.5.
