This was brought over from Liverpool, England where the original owner received it as a wedding present in 1923. The flats in Liverpool had very small fireplaces so the tools were to scale. Makers marks include the letter E inside at top and "Made in England" stamped at base very faintly. There is some wear to the enamel commensurate with age and use; of particular note is the chip on the knee and at the top of the helmet where it rests on the hanger when open.
