Vintage brass & copper fireplace tools, hand made fireside 4 piece companion set
A beautifully made and unique one off four piece brass and copper fireplace tool set and stand, comprising coal tongs, steel poker, brush and a dust pan / shovel. This quality log fire companion set was handcrafted by a retired gentleman named John Bradford who served as a brass & copper smith and made these during his apprenticeship in the early 1970s. Reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts movement, this set was made using traditional metalworking methods, the spade and tongs having copper rivets. The brass casing for the natural bristle brush has been hand hammered.
The base is heavy, so the set cannot be easily knocked over. A very attractive and well made one off set perfect for your open fire, log burner, stove or fire pit. No one else will have one the same. Condition: Very good, lovely patina, the odd tarnish mark.
