Antique French Fireplace Set Fire Tools Tongs Shovel StandHand Made Wrought Iron

We are happy to offer for your consideration a handmade wrought iron French fireplace set. This set includes five pieces: a stand that has three legs with a rounded top. A poker set is double forked. A pair of tongs and a shovel and a snuffer. We are dating this piece to before 1900 because the snuffer would have been used to for candles and oil lamps that went out of use in the next century.

The entire piece is handcrafted with exquisite details. We have left the patina finish as we have found it. You can easily restore it to a pitch black if that is what you want. The standard is 30 inches tall with the smallest tool being the snuffer at 18 inches and the longest being the tongs and the shovel which are 20 inches tall.

All the pieces are in excellent working condition and have lots of life left in them. This set came from the French Alps and was probably made by a local Smith as a gift for someone. Most of the pieces from this region are much more functional looking. This one is very decorative and took a lot of artistic talent and time. From our home in the French Alps to yours.
