This is for an antique Decorative Crafts #2903 - Baroque / English styled fireplace tools crafted from Brass / Bronze with a hunting motif. The set includes an original ornate unique shovel, and a pair of tongs, the holder, and a poker. The original tag is still on the bottom. You will NOT find another set like this in such good condition and so clean! The stand features a hunting dog which is lying down at the front of the base.

Behind the dog is a hunting rifle leaning up against a tree trunk, and the hunter's game, a single rabbit, completes the scene on the base. The branches and leaves of the tree form the ornate arms that hold the tools in place.

The shovel and tongs are each capped with finials, and leaves decorate the handles to match the top of the main holder. The solid hexagonal top of the rods on the tools are ornately finished while the stems are all vertically ribbed. This lovely piece will be a wonderful addition to a hearth of a cabin or farmhouse to add a lovely antique statement to any special area.

This item would be from the mid 1900's and crafted in Italy from Decorative Crafts and imported to the USA. This fabulous fireplace tool set is amazingly detailed and in wonderful condition. It is solid brass with a hunting motif. It has a hunting rifle leaning up on a tree trunk, a rabbit and then the hunters dog in the front.

There are branches and leaves that form the arms that hold the tools in place. The pieces all have ornate caps on top that follow in the leave forms. The rods of the tools are ornately decorated with patterns on the shafts. This lovely piece needs a special place to be displayed and enjoyed.

It is in amazing condition and is polished to show the detail. This would of been crafted in the early 1900's and is surely to be enjoyed for years to come. The measurements are approx : height of the stand 21 inches x 11.5 inches wide x 11 inches deep. The poker is approx 24.5 inches long, the tongs are approx 25.5 inches long and the shovel is approx 25 inches long. When the tools are placed on the holder the total height is approx 26 inches tall.
