Donald Deskey Designed Mid Century Fireplace Tool Set

This is beautiful set of art deco modern fireplace tools attributed to Donald Deskey for Bennet. The stand is black finish over metal with a brass orb in the center.

The set includes an ash pan, a poker and a brush. The set does have some finish loss and oxidation as expected due to use and age (see photos).

Please send me a message if you would like to see any additional pictures. The fireplace tool stand measures 30 1/2 inches tall and the tools measure 22 inches tall. Donald Deskey was a pioneer of industrial design in America and established the look that became known as "streamlined modern".

He designed furniture for John D. Rockefeller's New York City apartment and the interior of the Radio City Music Hall.
