We have had this since the 1950's but probably came from a family member from earlier 1900's - even 1800. 3 Piece Brass Fireplace Tool Set with Rare Round Patterned Base: see pictures. The flat brass parts, shovel, tongs, basket surround are not magnetic - solid brass? All the round tool tubes are magnetic, plated brass?
The UNIQUE rounded base seems hard to find & not typical: see pictures. The poker tool has black iron poker end: See pics. All parts were polished and clear coated 60+ years ago: see pictures.
